Hardwood Species

IPE hardwood lumber, also known as Washiba/Brazilian Walnut stems from the forested areas of Central & South America.
Jatoba/ Locust is commonly found hardwood in the Americas. Jatoba, like most hardwood species, is considered very durable especially with its ability to resist insect attacks.
Greenheart lumber is a widely used hardwood species found predominantly in South America. It is also popularly known for its durability.
Purple Heart hardwood lumber is a distinct hardwood species known for its purple undertones. It is found in Central and South America.
Demerara Oak / Darina  hardwood is used for flooring due to its high resistance to nicks, dents, scratches, and other forms of external irritation.
Wamara is also known as Guyana Rosewood. It is a dense hardwood lumber species and has a high resistance to decay and termites, but it is susceptible to marine bores.
Crabwood or Demerara Mahogany is a wood specie having similar properties to Cedar in terms of shading and outward presentation.
Mora is rated as durable to very durable hardwood lumber, and also has good resistance to insect attacks. It is one of the most plentiful high-quality heavy timbers in the Caribbean.
