Wamara Hardwood Lumber

Wamara is also known as Guyana Rosewood. It is a dense hardwood lumber species and has a high resistance to decay and termites, but it is susceptible to marine bores. The dust given off by this species can sometimes cause skin irritation, so protective gear must be worn when working this lumber. However, Wamara produces fine furniture, cabinetry, and flooring.

Colour

Wamara varies from medium reddish-brown to purplish-black, frequently with darker contrasting stripes.
